Who are the "proud," the "rulers," and the "rich," whose overthrow Mary celebrates? How will Jesus fulfill the themes of this song?

The "proud," the "rulers," and the "rich" are those who are have perceived power over Mary (and all of us) and her life. Jesus shows us a "better way"--a way that goes beyond the typical power structure of our everyday lives.
